About EcoNexus

EcoNexus, founded in February 2000, is a small public interest research organisation consisting of scientists and dedicated experts focusing on new technologies that could have a negative impact on biodiversity and the ecosystems which are fundamental to life.

Our work

We actively participate in the deliberations of the Convention on Biological Diversity and its Protocols as well as informing and working with individual states, Parties to the Convention.

We consider the application of the Precautionary Principle and full and ongoing consultation with Indigenous People and local communities.as mandated by the Convention, and the public generally to be essential when assessing the risks of technologies and deciding how to regulate them.
